Where You Will Work:
The Brenner Pediatric Emergency department is composed of 24 beds with two of those being our dedicated Trauma Bays. The emergency department specializes in treating children up to age of 17 with a broad spectrum of illness and injuries including orthopedic, respiratory, cardiac, chronic illness, abuse, psychiatric care and of course trauma. We became a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center in 2011 and have continuously upheld this Credential. We see approximately 600 plus traumas including burn activations a year in the department as we are also a dedicated Burn center. We offer a robust trauma program to our nursing staff that includes a trauma bootcamp, trauma team lead course, Trauma Nursing Core Course, and quarterly trauma simulations to ensure our staff have adequate training and knowledge to provide the upmost care to o
