JOB SUMMARY:

This is a Distributed Computer Systems Specialist position, located in the Information Systems Program in Tallahassee, FL.  We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. This entry-level role supports end users with basic technical issues across hardware, software, and connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to incoming support requests via ticketing system, phone, and email
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic desktop, laptop, and peripheral issues
• Install and configure software applications and updates
• Assist with password resets and account unlocks
• Provide excellent customer service and document resolutions

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

• Two years of experience working with computer hardware, software and/or networking systems *
• Experience using Windows, O365
• Experience troubleshooting routine technical issues and following documented procedures

SUBSTITUTIONS:

• * Education in an IT field of study can be substituted on a year for year basis

PREFERENCES:

• Experience working with Microsoft SCCM
• Experience working with Active Directory
• Experience with the setup, deployment, and installation of desktops and laptops
• Experience working Remote Desktop support
• Experience working with multi-factor authentication tools
• Experience working with cyber security protocols

SPECIAL NOTES:

• Position located in Tallahassee, Florida.
• This position may require lifting of 30 pounds and move equipment at any time during the work schedule, with or without ADA accommodation.
• The tentative salary for this position is $45,000.
• Interviews will be conducted on site for this position.

SALARY: $42,999.96 - $45,000.00 / annually
