The Administrative Assistant for the Department of Oral Medicine at Penn Dental Medicine will provide administrative, academic, and clinical support for the members of the departmentJob Description
Administrative Duties:
Administratively, the Assistant will coordinate all Department events including room reservation, catering orders, as well as purchase order requests and purchasing card charges. This position will be responsible for placing supplies orders regularly for materials needed by the Department. Additionally, preparation of faculty dossiers for appointments and reappointments will be under the purview of the Administrative Assistant. Communicate Department-wide announcements and perform other ad hoc support as needed.
Academic Duties:
The Administrative Assistant will provide support in the preparation of Department courses each semester by maintaining online lectures, grades, and proctoring exams.
Clinical Duties:
Maintain both clinical faculty and resident schedules regularly. Provide additional support as needed.
This position is ideal for a team player who bears the flexibility to pivot and work individually. Strong communication (oral/written) and organizational skills are required to be successful in this role.
Qualifications:
H.S. Diploma or GED required, with 3-5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Microsoft Office, academic and education technology preferred. Experience in meeting/event coordination is ideal.
