We're a small, growing team where technology is central to everything we do—and where a junior hire can have real impact from day one.</div> <p><strong>Overview</strong></p> <p>RQD* Clearing is looking for a Staff Accountant to join its team and play a key role in the financial reporting. As a small, hardworking team, we pride ourselves on our entrepreneurial culture and cross team collaboration. This role offers accelerated exposure to regulatory accounting and broker-dealer operations that would typically take years to access at a larger firm</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>Please note that this role requires you to assist with entities outside of the US Clearing Broker- Dealer holding structure. The other entities include a Hong Kong Broker-Dealer and its Holding company.</p> <ul> <li>Support the lifecycle of invoice processing for all entities which include upload into accounts payable invoice-to-pay software, coordinating invoice approvals across teams, posting to the general ledger, and handling requests for payment.</li> <li>Support preparation of net capital computation and daily Net Liquidity Value reporting for US Clearing Broker-dealer and Hong Kong Broker-Dealer.</li> <li>Support monthly closing process from beginning to end.</li> <li>Maintain the fixed asset ledger and run monthly depreciation and amortization reports.</li> <li>Maintain the prepaid expense ledger and run monthly amortization reports</li> <li>Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable sub-ledgers</li> <li>Assist and learn the weekly preparation of the 15c3-3 Reserve Calculation clearing business.</li> <li>Assist with responses to requests from outside regulators.</li> <li>Assist in preparation of budgets and projections for senior management team.</li> <li>Support the annual external audit of financial statements, including preparation of audit schedules and responses to auditor questions and requests.</li> <li>Assist in preparation of regulatory reports (FOCUS, SIPC, etc.) for US Clearing Broker-Dealer in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications </strong></p> <ul> <li>BA/BS in Accounting/Finance, CPA preferred</li> <li>1-3 years professional accounting experience public/private</li> <li>Willing to obtain Series 27 during the first year of employment.</li> <li>Previous exposure to the financial services industry, knowledge in clearing broker dealers a plus<
