WORKSITE: Sacramento- hybrid remote and onsite
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday- Friday, west coast hours
COMPENSATION: $65.00 per hour

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Functional Testing:
- Design, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to provide feedback on requirements, design, and implementation.

Automation Testing:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Analyze automation test results and work closely with the development team to address issues.

API Testing:
- Design and execute API test plans to validate functionality, performance, and security.
- Utilize tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar for thorough API testing.
- Maintain detailed API test documentation and ensure comprehensive endpoint coverage.

Quality Assurance:
- Participate in code reviews and provide QA insights.
- Ensure adherence to QA standards, best practices, and guidelines.
- Continuously improve testing processes to enhance product quality and reliability.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations.
- Provide clear and regular updates on testing progress and identified issues to stakeholders.
- Mentor and support junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Client-facing experience and the ability to present in client settings
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software quality assurance, with expertise in functional, automation, and API testing.
- Proficiency with test automation tools like Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman and SoapUI.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, or similar.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab.
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
