Position Overview:
The Director of Sales, Mid-Market & Commercial Truck, is responsible for driving revenue growth across a portfolio of intermediate mid-market car and truck accounts. This leader will balance dual priorities of new business acquisition and strategic account management, ensuring sustainable growth and long-term customer partnerships. The Director will lead, coach, and inspire a team of sales professionals to exceed sales goals, deliver exceptional client service, and align with overall business strategy.
What you’ll do:
- Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Own the sales strategy for the intermediate mid-market car and truck segments, aligning objectives to broader organizational goals.
- Drive both new business growth and expansion within existing accounts.
- Develop go-to-market plans, territory strategies, and pipeline discipline.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and manage a team of business development executives.
- Set clear goals, provide coaching, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance.
- Mentor team members on consultative selling, strategic account planning, and solution-oriented client engagement.
- Account Management & Customer Success
- Oversee key client relationships within the mid-market car and truck rental portfolio.
- Ensure retention, growth, and customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and solution delivery.
- Leverage insights from customer feedback, NPS, and market trends to improve service and strengthen partnerships.
- New Business Development
- Drive acquisition of net new customers across assigned segments.
- Partner with marketing, pricing, and operations to identify opportunities, respond to RFPs, and win competitive bids.
- Track and report new business pipeline, conversion rates, and revenue performance.
- Operational Excellence
- Ensure Salesforce (or CRM) data integrity, forecasting accuracy, and timely reporting.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, and Product to deliver integrated solutions.
- Monitor market dynamics and competitor activity to anticipate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
You should apply if you bring:
- 5+ years of progressive sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of delivering revenue growth in both new business and account management.
- Experience leading teams focused on mid-market or truck/fleet-based solutions preferred.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and talent development skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive-level presentation abilities.
- Data-driven mindset with proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), pipeline management, and forecasting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).

The annual starting salary for this position is between $90,000 - $125,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
