Java Software Engineer (Product)

<p><strong>ManpowerGroup Greece</strong>, on behalf of its client, a global leader &amp; pioneer in entertainment with an innovative platform is seeking for a <strong>Junio</strong>r <strong>Java Developer (Product) </strong>to join their Product Development Team.</p><p></p><p><strong>Workplace Location:</strong> Athens, North Suburbs in a Hybrid work model.</p><p></p><p><strong>What you will be doing:</strong></p><p>You will be responsible for analyzing requirements, developing new functionalities, integrations with 3rd party systems, optimizations, supporting and maintaining the existing Web ticketing Platform. <strong>Our client mostly works with Agile Methodology and their stack is Spring focused &amp; Java 11.</strong></p><p></p><p><strong>Your main responsibilities will be: </strong></p><ul> <li> Developing new functionalities on existing ticketing platform  </li> <li> Participating in and contributing to the daily, weekly, sprint cycle team ceremonies</li> <li>Assessing and sizing effort associated with work backlog and participate in grooming</li> <li>Participating in proofs of concepts, engineering, and implementation projects</li> <li>Analyzing requirements for new developments. </li> <li>Writing documentation and User-manuals to provide instructions to end users </li> <li>Completing tasks of limited scope but seeking advice for more complex problems</li> <li>Validating that results are correct and data provided is accurate</li> <li>Supporting small systems</li> <li>Checking own work for accuracy and meeting standards</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>University Degree in Computer Science or Engineering</li> <li>2 years’ experience in professional software development</li> <li>Good knowledge of Java SE / EE platforms and Spring ecosystem, JPA/Hibernate</li> <li>Object Oriented Analysis and Design</li> <li>Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases (MSSQL)</li> <li>Experience developing REST API’s</li> <li>Familiarity with build tools such as Maven</li> <li>Proficient understanding of Git and its workflows</li> </ul><p></p><p><strong>Any of the following will be considered an asset</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with one or more front-end technologies such as HTML, DHTML, CSS, JSP, JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, Bootstrap)</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul> <li>Competitive salary based on experience and a bonus plan</li> <li>Private Medical Plan</li> <li>Extra vacation days</li> </ul><ul> <li>Continuous training</li> <li>Friendly working environment</li> </ul><p> </p>
