What You Will Do:

  • Leads cross-functional teams for small to moderate sized projects associated with the development, qualification, and production of aircraft evacuation slide systems.

  • Supports Project Management in project scoping, resource forecasting, bid and proposal submission, and execution of projects in accordance with the RTX Lifecycle Program Management system within the approved budget and schedule constraints.

  • Regularly leads meetings with customers and suppliers to resolve technical issues and coordinate cross-functional team activities.

  • Generates development and qualification plans/reports and coordinates test unit builds and testing.

  • Performs financial analysis of design components to achieve design to cost targets.

  • Prepares design documentation, obtains required internal and external approvals, and supports production implementation.

  • Provides engineering material review board (MRB) dispositions for non-conforming products.

  • Conducts root cause analysis and drives corrective actions for ongoing manufacturing operations and field issues.

  • Coordinate with Systems Engineering to determine impact of design changes, prepare and execute requirements validation and verification plan, update design documentation, and obtain required change approvals.

  • Prepares and presents project status to key stakeholders and supports Program Management reviews.

  • Participate in defining standard engineering procedures.

  • Works autonomously with limited oversight from managers and mentors with less experienced engineers.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experie
