POSITION SUMMARY:
The AI Software Engineer will develop, program, and train the complex networks of algorithms that encompass AI so those algorithms can work like a human brain. Must be an expert in software development, data science, data engineering and programming, and be able to uncover and pull data from a variety of sources; create, develop, and test machine learning models; and build and implement AI applications using embedded code or application program interface (API) calls.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
- Model, build, and test AI software to ensure it can take on large swaths of data and achieve desired results.
- Use Python, JavaScript, and C++ to create a faster, more capable AI.
- Analyze statistics, data, and algorithms for projection accuracy.
- Use AI analysis to make strategy recommendations that align with company goals.
- Work with a team of machine-learning and data engineers to ensure seamless AI development and integration.
- Partner with firmware teams to deploy AI models on edge devices.
- Proficiency with programming in embedded systems.
- Experience developing and implementing AI solutions for real-time processing on edge devices.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design efficient edge computing solutions.
- Stay current on AI knowledge, trends, and regulations.
- Collect, organize, and present progress with team leadership and stakeholders.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
General Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree, or higher, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field is required or equivalent experience.
- 3-5+ years of experience with Python.
- Proficient Linux knowledge.
- Strong programming skills with moderate to high level experience with Python.
- Excellent knowledge of relational databases – MySQL, SQL Server, and/or Snowflake.
- Understanding of Agile software development practices and continuous delivery.
- Experience with data ETL processes (feeding from multiple different sources).
- Experience with test driven development (TDD).
- Knowledge of Pandas Python frameworks
- Proficient understanding of version control systems (git).
- Proficient understanding of Jenkins, Build management Tool.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, mathematical (statistical) skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working under limited supervision and handling routine matters on your own initiative.
- Work with teams across the company to enable the rapid development of new functionality.
