Job Purpose and Overview
Assist the Quality Manager in managing and implementing the site’s Quality & Food Safety Systems by ensuring site compliance to regulatory, identity preserved, quality, and GFSI requirements. Works to ensure product quality and safety using established systems, HACCP, Food Safety Plans, GMP’s, food safety teams, and continuous improvement techniques. Responsible for directing work activities of QA Supervisors and Specialists as well as providing leadership to the Quality team through coaching, counseling, and training.
What Does It Take to be a QA Systems Manager at Dawn Foods?
Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.
- Bachelor’s degree in science discipline (Food, Biology, Chemistry, etc.) or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and eight years of relevant work experience required.
- 3 years in a leadership role that includes general program oversight and influencing of others to maintain compliance required.
- Experience in food, beverage and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing required.
- Experience in Food Safety Plans, Food Plant GMPs, Food Defense, Kosher, Organic, and other identity preserved programs like RSPO/RFA required.
- Experience in BRC/IFS audit standards preferred.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft office such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams required
- Experience in root cause analysis and developing continuous improvement teams preferred.
- IA Vulnerability Assessments using Key Activity Types Certified preferred.
- PCQI Certified required.
