Department: ORR Long Term Group Home

Reports To: Assistant Program Director

Work location: Downtown

FLSA: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Salary: $26.92/hr.  - $29.70/hr.

Shifts: Morning Shift: (Wednesday-Saturday: 7am-5:30pm) Morrison Child and Family Services: We are a Joint Commission and Sanctuary accredited non-profit organization that provides a comprehensive array of services to children, adolescents, and their families. Job Purpose: This position oversees the daily management of the milieu and community settings where youth are present. The Milieu Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and training of all milieu staff.

 

Position/Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Establishes and maintains effective organizational management systems and provides leadership and direct supervision to assigned staff:
  • Plan and coordinate the milieu schedule and milieu events to ensure the safety and security of youth is maintained.
  • Works with staff to ensure the program is providing the youth with skill building, education, leisure activities, medical services, and development of pro-social behaviors.
  • Schedule Milieu Counselor shifts that provide for the daily coverage, adhering to regulations of staff to client ratio and coverage at all times.
  • Completes timesheet and other personnel administrative records as required.
  • Provide supervision and performance evaluations following agency protocol and policy.
  • Implement discipline and termination procedures when needed; monitor and review work performed under the direction of the Assistant Program Director.
  • Ensure all staff are trained as stated in guidelines for program, agency and grant requirements.
  • Provide regular supervision to staff and facilitate team meetings.
  • Completes and reviews incident reports in a timely manner.
  • Child Abuse Reporting, Follow-up, and Intervention
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team (case management, clinical, education, medical, etc.)
  • Participates in the development of behavior plans.
  • Monitors clients when in the community to ensure safety.
  • Adheres to program, agency, and contract quality assurance standards.
  • Completes Medication Administration training and administers medication to youth
  • Share pertinent information with program director and program leadership team.
  • Assist with special projects program-wide, as needed.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to developing a thorough knowledge and application of the Sanctuary model and other organizational policies & practices.  
  • Participate in staff development, in-services, and training related to workplace effectiveness; model professional behaviors and implement improvements to business practices with awareness of their impact in a trauma-informed behavioral healthcare organization.
  • Other duties as assigned to ensure successful operation of program/department.
