Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking First-Line Manufacturing Managers (level K) to support the Manufacturing Operations team based out of Portland, Oregon.

First-line leaders on the manufacturing operations team cultivate strong cross-functional partnerships to drive team and program objectives while fostering a work environment that prioritizes safety, quality, accountability, trust, and teamwork. This role is pivotal in promoting a first-pass quality approach within manufacturing, and it is essential for our leaders to be dedicated to the success of their team members.

The selected candidate will have strong interpersonal and coaching skills that will further enable our business unit to embrace and elevate the BPS (Boeing Production System) culture, tools and key performance indicators.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.

• Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.

• Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

• Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 3+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or manufacturing environment

• 1+ years of experience with continuous process improvement initiatives.

• 1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role.

• Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 5+ years of experience in a Manufacturing environment

• 1+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding and leading team

• 1+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems and/or One Boeing Production System (One BPS)

• 1+ years of experience communicating to employees, customers, peers and all levels of leadership

• Experience using lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement practices and tools.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range: $115,900 -$140,300
