Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy Technician at Careplex Hospital for our Inpatient Pharmacy!

Sign On Bonus up to $2,500 Offered for qualified candidates!

Status: Part Time (24 hrs/wk)

Shift: Rotating Days and Evenings, Occasional Overnight (8.5hr shift)

Hours: 6:30am-9:30pm

Weekends: Every other Weekend

Holiday Rotation

Required qualifications:

• Virginia Pharmacy Technician license
• CPhT license through PTCB or NHA -required if licensed in VA after 7/1/2021

Preferred qualifications:

• 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience

• Prior hospital experience

Job responsibilities:

• Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist
• Measure, mix, count out, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders
• Responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient-focused, and cost-efficient drug therapy.

Job Summary
