Physical Therapy Assistant - Rehab Services Acute Care

Under general supervision of a Physical Therapist, provides therapeutic assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of the active and injured or physically challenged neonate, pediatric, adult and/or geriatric patients, based on individual qualifications and expertise, and competency skills assessment, using standard physical therapy practices. Assess patients' motor, neurological, orthopedic and functional capabilities in response to the established treatment plans. The PTA may modify an intervention in accordance with the changes in patient/client status and within the scope of the plan of care that has been established by a Physical Therapist. Maintain current knowledge and demonstrate proficiency in required competencies.

Required qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Graduate from a CAPTE (Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education).
- California Physical Therapy Assistant License upon hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- 1 year of experience.
Preferred qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited Therapy Assistant school.
- Experience working in multiple specialty areas.
