Senior Project Manager | Research Institute

The Senior Project Manager coordinates activities of internal and external groups (staff, vendors, partners, etc.) to achieve project goals. The primary function of this position is to mentor and guide project management staff within the newly created CentraCare Research Institute and lead large-scale project or organizational initiatives. In addition, this individual also functions and fulfills the duties and responsibilities of an IS Project Manager role. This role involves regular collaboration with the University of Minnesota's Research Office.

Schedule:

• Full-time | 80 hours every two weeks
• Days | 8-hour shifts | 8am - 5pm
• Hybrid role with requirements for traveling on site regularly

Pay and Benefits:

• Starting pay begins at $85,081.93 per year; exact wage determined by years of related experience
• Salary range: $85,081.93 - $127,697.70 per year
  • Salary and salary range are based on a 1.0 FTE, reduced FTE will result in a prorated offer rate

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in clinical, information systems, business administration or management, or project management required
• 5 years minimum project management experience required, preferably within research
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required within 5 years from date of hire
• Solid knowledge of software development and project management methodologies
• Firm understanding of software architecture, development and QA processes
• Knowledge of applications and/or infrastructure processes 
• Proven ability to monitor and track performance, anticipate risks, and resolve issues
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools with demonstrated experience in Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint
