Job Description

K.S.A.'s:

  • Good Communication and customer service skills.  
  • Good math skills.  
  • High school diploma or GED certification. 
  • Food Service Experience preferred. 
  • Current Food Handler Certificate (or within 30 days of hire).
     

Job Duties:

  • Performs job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers, and others. 
  • Demonstrates a commitment to Lurie Children’s mission, value, and philosophy in the performance of their duties.
  • Received daily deliveries, checking in orders against vendor invoices to ensure delivery is accurate and at proper temperatures for product storage.  Refuses product that is damaged, and/or not incompliance with regulatory standards.  Uses proper lifting techniques in the performance of their job.
  • Aides Chef/Sous Chef in weekly Inventories.
  • Flows regulatory agency standards for proper storage in dry goods, chemical, refrigerated items and frozen items.
  • Follows proper sanitation procedures for all storage areas.  
  • Performs job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers, and others. 
     

Education

High School Diploma/GED (Required)

Pay Range

$18.00-$27.00 Hourly
