Commercial Sales & ServiceBMO Bank N.A. seeks Director-PM Commercial Sales II in Chicago, IL to manage, direct, and oversee the overall planning and performance of several functions within the North American market, including business development, client relationships, customer retention, credit and service quality, and human resources management with a specific focus on foreign multinational companies headquartered primarily in Europe and Asia. Develop and manage partnerships with external bodies that can help foster business development initiatives. Manage large geographical areas with multiple banking offices and defined market areas. Oversee the preparation of short-and mid-range strategic plans. Develop budgets for the unit, directing the allocation of funds within budget limits and in alignment with risk policies and standards to accomplish business objectives. Lead change management programs of varying scope and type, including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, and execution, evaluation, and sustainment of initiatives. Maintain an outstanding and continuous record of significant revenue generation from sales and syndications. Lead and execute business development plans so that business goals are achieved and even exceeded. Provide strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisor and advise on sales strategies based on a deep understanding of the market, relevant industry verticals, market competitors, client needs, and business growth opportunities. After conducting independent analyses and assessments, make recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives, based on an in-depth understanding of the business, banking group, and clientele, to resolve strategic issues. Recommend business priorities, advise on resource requirements, and develop a roadmap for strategic execution, leveraging financial services expertise and thinking creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine. Operate at an enterprise-wide level and serve as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus fifteen years of experience as a Financial Manager or related occupation negotiating and structuring financial transactions or, alternatively, a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and thirteen years of experience as a Financial Manager or related occupation negotiating and structuring financial transactions. Specific skills/other requirements - Experience must include (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section unless otherwise stated): Ten (10) years of experience performing cross border transaction and investment banking activities; Developing business within a corporate lending environment; Performing marketing, risk assessment, legal analytics, and compliance management with large European and Asian multinational companies; Building and managing strategic partnerships with large local and international bodies to foster business development; Leading a team that manages relationships with multinational companies from multiple different countries; and Building relationships with clients’ C-Suite leaders from North America and abroad in numerous industries to enable clients to make successful business decisions. Hybrid position - three (3) days remote per week. Travel requirements: 30% domestic and international travel required.
Salary for this specific position in Chicago, IL is $297,815.95 per year.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
