About the role

Description

The Children’s School at Stephens College is looking for a preschool teacher who wants to help children discover a lifelong love of learning through the arts and sciences.


CSSC is embedded in the Stephens College teacher education program and takes a holistic approach to education, emphasizing exploration of the arts and sciences.


CSSC wants to expand their teaching staff for the 2022 – 2023 academic school year by adding a full-time, one-year term teaching positions with the possibility of renewal.


Responsibilities:

  1. Create and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum that integrates the arts and sciences.
  2. Mentor preservice teachers in the education program at Stephens College.
  3. Participate in all school events and activities, including:  staff meetings, in-service/professional development, College related activities.
  4. Evaluate students’ progress in all content areas.
  5. Follow all school and college policies and procedures.
  6. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the CSSC Director.

Requirements

Qualifications: 

  • A valid Missouri teaching certificate in early childhood is required.  
  • Teaching experience is preferred.
  • Experience integrating the arts and sciences is preferred.
