Since 1898, AECOM Tishman has managed the construction of some of the world’s most iconic buildings. We employ a diversified preconstruction and construction management staff of structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers; architects; technology specialists; scheduling and cost control personnel; and construction estimators and accountants. We provide expert consultation and guidance in all phases of a building project, from master-planning, preconstruction options evaluation and decision-making, to design review, estimating, and scheduling, through procurement, construction and occupancy. AECOM Tishman’s staff manages all consultants and contractors on a project, representing client interests throughout the project cycle. Job Description

AECOM/Tishman has an exciting opportunity at JFK Airport on our Terminal 1 construction project for a highly seasoned, experienced MEP Superintendent.  

• Accountable and overall responsibility for on-site administrative and technical management for a wide range of construction projects. 
• Leads, directs and manages the entire direction of construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi-area or a multi-discipline construction project. 
• Primary Liaison with client for day to day activities and long term operations. 
• Communicates and directs through other superintendents changes or modification of jobsite activities within assigned area of operations. 
• Accountable for compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget and to quality standards. 
• Primary interface and engagement with Project Executive and manager group to coordinate efforts.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirement:

• BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience as an MEP Superintendent/Project Manager with specific experience in aviation or equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Requirements:

• 10 years of experience in the field of construction.
• 10 years of construction experience in the field of MEP.
• 4 years of Superintendent experience in the field of aviation construction.
• Experience with a large GC.
• Experience working with NYC building codes, etc.
• Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree.
• Experience leading teams of employees and managing subcontractors in Constuction MEP.
• Offered rate of compensation (New York City only) will be based on individual education, qualification, experience and work location. The salary range for the position is $153,525.49 - $$284,022.16 annually (exempt).

• This position is located in Jamiaca, Queens, NYC and is not hybrid nor remote.
