As a Lead Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the overall delivery process of a software application or service, including design, development, testing, deployment, production application support (e.g., troubleshooting) and maintenance with a focus on automation. 

Responsibilities and Day-to-Day View

•    Being able to lead the team with sound technical solutions with multitude of problems at hand. Problem solving skills and can do attitude.
•    Experience working on multi-cloud environments Azure and AWS
•    Understanding of how to deploy, test and troubleshoot services to Kubernetes, including kubectl usage
•    Understanding of modern CI/CD tooling, including Jenkins and Helm
•    Understanding of Kubernetes monitoring and alerting tools, including Prometheus and Grafana
•    Experience deploying microservices on AKS/EKS 
•    Understanding of RESTful API design principles, including how to define resources, how to use HTTP verbs and status codes
•    Understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns
•    Experience using Docker and Docker Compose for local development, testing and troubleshooting
•    Experience using performance testing tools like JMeter Node.js Developers:
•    Experience with building and delivering Node.js apps to production using JavaScript or TypeScript for backend service development (as opposed to using Node.js for frontend UI development)
•    Experience building RESTful services using the Express framework
•    Understanding of the Node.js event loop
•    Understanding of Promises and async/await for asynchronous JavaScript/TypeScript
•    Experience with building high-quality, high-coverage test suites using JavaScript testing tools including Mocha, Chai and Sinon

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. 
•    5+ years of experience in working in Engineering or Development roles
•    5+ years of progressive experience in one or more of the following areas: application delivery; subject matter expertise in building Node.js-based high-volume/high-transaction e-commerce applications
•    5+ years of experience building REST APIs
•    4+ years of experience in performance tuning and application monitoring
•    4+ years of experience in architecture and design of systems using Micro services architecture
•    4+ years of experience in a leadership capacity - coaching and mentoring engineers, developers
•    2+ years of experience in cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef or Terraform
•    2+ years of experience in build and CICD technologies: GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus or Sonar
•    4+ years of experience in Unit and Function testing and building high-quality, high-coverage test suites using JavaScript testing tools including Mocha, Chai and Sinon among others.
•    2+ years in depth experience with UI development technologies like Nodejs,Angular,TypeScript
•    Experience building RESTful services using the Express framework
•    Understanding of the Node.js event loop
•    Understanding of Promises and async/await for asynchronous JavaScript/TypeScript
•    Good knowledge of Unix/Linux command line
•    Experience working within Agile/Scrum/Kanban development team
•    Familiarity with HTML5, JavaScript frameworks, and CSS3
•    Experience using JavaScript profiling tools including Clinic.js 
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to present complex technical information in a clear manner to peers, developers, and senior leaders
