The Maintenance Mechanic I role is a position reporting into a specific area of the plant, which gives to our mission of saving and sustaining lives by ensuring safe and efficient operation of plant manufacturing equipment through hands on maintenance and maintenance related initiatives.
Your Team
Cleveland’s technology and automation are innovative. It is the U.S. sole source for plastic pour bottles, glass IV, and various reconstitution devices. This facility has a number of major product lines with a diverse array of automated manufacturing technologies ranging from bottle solution filling, injection molding, and device assembly.

What you'll be doing
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance for rolling stock
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, drive axles, electrical systems, and steering systems
- Maintain battery charging area
- Perform necessary welding repairs
- Document all repairs on work orders
- Keep track of parts inventory and battery service
- Safely operate Powered Industrial Trucks
- Must have knowledge of both plant and departmental Quality environmental health and safety regulations and follow said regulations accordingly.
- Industrial maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring
- High School Diploma or GED required with an Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related program preferred.
- Ability to use electrical test equipment; e.g., volt-ohm meter, ammeter, meg-ohmmeter.
- Ability to troubleshoot and install DC/AC equipment/controllers, generators, solenoids, relays, motors, power supplies.
- Ability to perform industrial maintenance.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems
- Pipe fitting and welding experience preferred.
- 2 years’ general maintenance experience preferred.
- Meet visual acuity requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push, pull up to 100 pounds
- Ability to lift above the shoulder up to 30 pounds
- Ability to meet confined space entry requirements
- Ability to maneuver in enclosed spaces
- Ability to work in extreme conditions (hot/cold temperatures)
- Ability to work in high places off the ground
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, and various shifts
- Read and interpret electrical schematics national electrical code.
- Must be able to bend/stoop, squat, climb, reach above shoulder level, reach at or below shoulder level, twist and bend at the neck, twist and bend at the waist and balance
- Normal visual acuity is necessary including the ability to distinguish colors.

The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position.
