The Senior Supply Chain Manager plans and implements activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials.

Your Challenge:

• Consulting with Engineering and cross-functional teams to providing technical recommendations and solutions to provide key support to the business related to supply chain and product development.

• Assisting with the establishment and maintenance of the production control system. Working with customers in auditing customer inventory levels and with internal and external vendors to comply with inventory policies

• Fulfill Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) requirements by effectively managing quality assurance documentation. Review supplier Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA), control plans and flow diagrams.

• Plans and implements activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials.

• Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions.

• Ensures the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels.

• Responsible for sourcing and supplying raw materials, utilities and outside services, as well coordinating global procurement efforts.

• Coordinates with finance/accounting on matters involving inventory carrying costs.

• Reviews and plans requirements for acceptable inventory.

• As required, provide support on special projects and support the Quality Control group at vendor locations.

• Daily interface with other Manufacturing Engineers, Design Engineers, Quality Department and Production to provide technical Engineering and Supply Chain

What you bring:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to interface with individuals, groups, and diverse cultures.

• Strong planning and organizational abilities.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.

• 2-5 years purchasing, supply chain experience ideally gained from an Engineering / Manufacturing environment

• A minimum of 2 years Supervisory or Management experience

• Advanced knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques, a plus

• Working to varied and diverse problems require the identification of issues, that need to be analyzed before selecting solution based on past experiences within area of expertise

• Taking ownership and working under minimal direction.
