Coordinator, Music Creative Production - Original Film

About the role
Netflix is one of the fastest growing and progressive film studios in Hollywood. Music Creative & Production (MCP) provides world-class music support to our original films and Netflix cross-functional partners by guiding the music creative, scoring, and budgeting process from development to launch. Our goal is to empower Netflix to entertain the world by deepening fan engagement and to amplify storytelling through music.

Responsibilities
- Read scripts and update correlating on-camera grids and one-liners to then share with Creative Manager.
- Manage, file, and track music budgets and liaise with Music Finance to ensure Cost Reports are up-to-date.
- Watch Dailies on active music projects and communicate updates to Creative Manager.
- Provide project-specific notes across both internal and external meetings, and track action items.
- Regularly communicate with external music personnel and ensure all clearance grids/on-camera grids are current.
- Assist in crafting and curating bio/credits/reels at request of Creative Manager for talent submissions.
- Stay abreast of industry talent, including composers, music supervisors, songwriters, producers, etc., and regularly contributing suggestions to Managers as needed.
- Begin to build relationships with key external stakeholders (agents, managers, talent, labels, publishers, etc).
- Coordinate travel support for key music personnel, including internals as needed, for travel to set/sessions, etc.
- Coordinate and manage requests for external music partners for events/premieres, music screenings, general meetings and showcases.
- Help Managers/Assoc. Managers with presentations, and onboarding decks.
- Coordinate with Music Services, Soundtrack, Music Marketing, and Music Production teams for asset requests/materials.
- Work closely with Music Production to assemble deliverables and assets when needed.
- Manage and maintain the team Google Drive and Development folders.
- Draft music entries for internal Launch Memos, Lookbacks, and Debriefs to be reviewed by Creative Manager.
Skills & Qualifications
- Preferably 3 years experience working in-house at a major Entertainment Studio music department, agency, or with a music supervisor.
- Knowledge in the music talent space - composers, music supervisors, songwriters, producers, agents, managers.
- Knowledge of and passion for film and tv content, popular culture, and music in general.
- Knowledge of the music industry, digital streaming platforms, music publishing, music licensing, record labels, and PROs.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and how they can be leveraged to support our titles.
- Curiosity of applications, data, and technology and how it overlaps with team initiatives to create more efficient workflows.
- Confidence in being highly organized and comfortable creating, developing, and maintaining systems.
- Ability to be a team player at all times, with proven record of willingness to prioritize, respond, pivot quickly, think practically, positively, and be solution-oriented.
- Ability to work proactively, independently, and reliably on multiple projects under tight time frames in a fast-paced production environment.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Project Management Tools (Slack, AirTable, Trevanna).
- Willingness to actively play a role both in the MCP team and wider company to shape and progress Netflix culture, and to further MCP’s efforts in Diversity & Inclusion initiatives.
