Description
RDTS is seeking an Administrative Specialist to support the Bureau of Human Resources at the U.S. Dept of State (DoS) in Washington, D.C. This role will provide professional and administrative program support services to meet the performance objective, business requirements, and to help fulfill the mission of DoS.
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Prepare, research, and compute individualized annuity estimates.
- Answer phone and email inquiries about many other aspects of Foreign Service (FS) and Civil Service (CS) retirement benefits.
- Assist staff with complex calculations or multi-faceted issues of Foreign Service.
- Assist with all aspects of annuitant services (health & life insurance and annuity issues).
- Use and track cases through our HR's new case management system.
- Process death benefits claims for survivors of deceased Foreign Service annuitants.
- Work with other staff, offices, and agencies to resolve cases.
- Process both FS and CS retirement cases.
Requirements
- Active Security Clearance
- Bachelors degree
- Familiarity with Foreign Service and/or Civil Service
- Attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- State Dept experience desired
