As a Product Manager in Branch Workplace Technologyyou are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.

Job responsibilities

  • Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers.
  • Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap.
  • Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition.
  • Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability.
  • Demonstrate high level of interaction with impacted stakeholders and a candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills to collaborate with technical counterparts at all levels.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented, curious in nature and comfortable challenging current practices are key characteristics.
  • Create clear and concise product recommendation in a standard product strategy template as well as PowerPoint, to include relevant background, problem statement, product and technical requirements, supporting analytics, critical success factors, objectives and key results, and ultimately recommending implementation timelines.
  • Partner and collaborate with other Branch Workplace Technology stakeholders to understand dependencies, and handoffs. 
  • Facilitate the selection and vetting of qualified suppliers based on branch technology strategy, refresh schedules and business requirements. Consolidate technology feedback into actionable roadmaps.
  • Conduct wider team reviews of the service providers, including sourcing the required information from the business, analyzing, and interpreting of the data to identify areas of concern. 
  • Manage incidents and problems related to deployments; identify trends and partner with product and technical teams for resolution.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area.
  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics.
  • Ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.
  • Work with relevant functions to ensure all sourcing governance requirements are being met.
  • Drive the delivery of major technology changes across our branches, spanning hardware, software, and infrastructure solutions in partnership with Employee Platforms (EP), Infrastructure Platforms (IP), Operations, Finance and technology teams across the firm.
  • Own and drive a portfolio of technology programs impacting our branches.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization.
  • Understanding of technology – specifically hardware, networking, infrastructure aspects – and how it can be used to improve the user experience. 
  • Capable of delivering timely, high-quality, data-driven presentations and/or reporting for audiences of varying levels of seniority. 
  • Ability to think strategically, connect the dots to the bigger picture, and identify optimal ways to grow the business.
  • Proven ability to execute via successful internal partnerships with other organizations – with the ability to influence people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions, sometimes without formal authority.
  • Excellent leadership skills – of programs, projects, teams, and employees – with demonstrated track record for attracting and retaining top talent.
