We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join the Finance team at our dynamic not-for-profit agency. This position plays a critical role in supporting our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the agency’s weekly accounts payable process

• Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations

• Support monthly and annual financial reporting activities

• Assist with the collection, analysis, and reporting of financial data

• Apply working knowledge of GAAP and not-for-profit accounting principles

• Collaborate closely with the Director of Finance and CFO throughout the fiscal reporting cycle

Qualifications:

• Accounting degree and experience in a staff accounting role, preferably in a nonprofit environment

• Strong understanding of financial data management and reporting

• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
