Job Description:

• Completing figures for Calaveras Fault study manuscript using QGIS and original geomorphic interpretation

• Researching land ownership / access permissions for future field study of the Calaveras fault, including phoning or emailing municipalities and public agencies in California

• Developing literature reviews (searching and indexing data sources, writing summaries, incorporating lit review into review text) on Calaveras Fault, building on current databases

Qualifying skills:

• Competency in mapping and annotation using QGIS software

• Familiarity with the Calaveras fault and strike-slip tectonics of California

• Self-motivated, independent worker

• Six or more classes in EPS with marks B or higher

• Experience with geomorphic interpretation from lidar DEMs

• Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level 4 on a scale of 0-4.
