The Role
As a Transportation Planner at Nestlé, you will play a key role in ensuring transportation availability and efficiency across our network. You will optimize vehicle utilization, minimize freight costs, and secure ontime, infull (OTIF) deliveries for our customers. This role requires strong coordination with carriers, internal supply chain teams, and logistics partners to guarantee seamless, cost-effective operations.


You will also monitor daily transportation activities, manage exceptions, ensure proper documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that support a more sustainable and resilient logistics network.

 

What You’ll Do

  • You will plan trucks from our main Distribution Centre to Retail customers
  • You will as well be required to do combination of Customers considering their appointments and transit time to maximise service and minimize cost.
  • You will have to balance the number of trucks within the day to balance the resources of the 3PL – Distribution Centre.
  • Maximize vehicle capacity utilization across all transportation modes.
  • Work closely with carriers.
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain function to minimize transportation-related failures.
  • Secure adequate lead times to ensure on-time delivery performance.
  • Confirm carrier bookings, delivery notes, and required documentation.
  • Manage operational exceptions, including shipments without appointments or outside delivery windows.
  • Build executable, optimized transportation plans respecting network constraints and identifying opportunities for consolidation or inbound–outbound synergies.
  • Apply NCE (Nestlé Continuous Excellence) and Focused Improvement tools to drive performance enhancements.
  • Participate in or lead projects aimed at making Nestlé Logistics more sustainable and environmentally responsible.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Organizational Engineering, Logistics & Operations, Transportation & Logistics, Business Administration (ADE) or specialization in Supply Chain, or related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in supply chain operations, preferably focused on transport planning or logistics execution.
  • Solid knowledge of SAP TM, Transporeon and Excel.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Willing to work on Mon-Fri shifts from 12:00 to 21:00

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience in FMCG or pharmaceutical environments.
