Pay: The anticipated salary range for this position is $58,000 - $67,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant work experience, the skills required for the role, internal equity, market competitiveness, and budget considerations. We are committed to ensuring fair and competitive pay for all employees.
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00AM-7:00PM, Saturday-Sunday, 9:00AM-5:00PM

Job Summary:
The Health Center Assistant Manager plays a key leadership role in supporting the effective operations of the health center and the delivery of equitable, high-quality sexual and reproductive health care. Reporting to and in partnership with the Senior Health Center Manager, the Assistant Manager directly supervises staff and is responsible for hiring, training, coaching, and performance management while ensuring daily operations aligning with organizational goals, regulatory standards, and Planned Parenthood’s patient-centered care model. Serving as a visible, on-site leader, the Health Center Assistant Manager provides hands-on operational support, reinforces accountability, models trauma-informed and inclusive leadership, exercises independent judgement and managerial authority, and assumes full operational responsibility in the Senior Health Center Manager’s absence. Health Center Assistant Managers are advocates in implementing our mission “Advancing and protecting sexual and reproductive healthcare for all.” They may perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in business, human services, public health, nursing related area, or 2 years equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of direct people management and/or leadership experience.
  • Experience working with confidential information and regulated environments.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to travel as needed within Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, and South Dakota
  • Must have the ability to work flexible hours that match the clinic hours, which may include evenings and weekends
