Overview
The Clinical Utilization Management Pharmacist is responsible for providing data driven consultative services to clients that impact client cost savings and enhance patient outcomes. The pharmacist works closely with Billing, Clinical Operations, Account Management and Sales to assure cost containment initiatives differentiate the Company and promote the Company’s Value Proposition.
Our Pharmacy group focuses on providing exceptional customer service and meeting the pharmacy needs for hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, long-term acute care hospitals, and other specialized care centers nationwide.
This position is remote with 10% travel. Applicants can reside anyhere within the Continental USA.

Responsibilities
- Provides analytical services support for clients in collaboration with Account Management with an emphasis on using data to discover and present actionable clinical and cost-containment opportunities or cost-containment proof statements
- Coaches and trains Account Management associates to present analytics to clients and, where required, presents the analytics themselves
- Supports Account Management by providing, for key clients, business reviews with the objective of demonstrating the value of PharMerica programs, clinical and cost-containment efforts and results
- Designs, develops, implements and maintains business solutions. Works directly with clients and business leaders to identify analytical requirements
- In collaboration with the Clinical Services team and the Client Reporting and Analytics team, monitors pharmacy trends and industry changes relevant to clients to provide proactive support and recommendations
- Supports the Clinical Services team with clinical program development and implementation
- Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards
Qualifications
- Pharmacy Degree required
- 3 years’ experience in consultative clinical services preferred
- Understanding of geriatric clinical guidelines, demonstrated expertise in developing targeted clinical programs;
- Ability to effectively organize and present analytical results to internal and external audiences
- Percentage of Travel: 0-25%
**To perform this position will require frequently sitting, standing, walking and typing on a keyboard with fingers, and occasionally reaching. The physical requirements will be the ability to push/pull and lift/carry 21-30 lbs**
