We are seeking a qualified Clinical Nurse (510529) CMH (Huntingtons Disease). The position will also be advertised for a qualified Allied Health Professional (510529d) and the position will be filled on a merit base.

The Team:
The team within the Department of Health Tasmania plays a vital role in supporting individuals affected by Huntington’s Disease through the Community Mental Health (CMH) program. This multidisciplinary team includes professionals such as registered nurses occupational therapists social workers, and support workers who collaborate to deliver holistic, patient-centred care.
Role requirements and what we’re looking for:
- Extensive experience in case management and working with individuals with complex neurological or mental health conditions
- Knowledge of Huntington’s Disease or a willingness to develop an in-depth knowledge
- Knowledge of the National Disability Scheme or a willingness to to develop an in-depth knowledge
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across services
- Ability to provide therapeutic interventions, education, support to individuals and families, and other service providers
- Commitment to professional development, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the community as required
- Proficiency in clinical documentation, report writing, and multidisciplinary coordination

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
