Pharmacy Dispensing Technician - UVANTA

Uvanta, Our sister company is hiring, this is not a role with Local- MD. 

The Dispensing Technician is responsible for accurate and timely preparation of all medication orders. This person will assist the pharmacists by performing various routine technical job functions while exhibiting a high degree of accuracy and ethic in their work.

Essential Functions: Responsibilities:

•  Performs all functions related to the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions and over the counter medications
• Process returned medications as assigned
• Maintains HIPAA Compliance and FWA
• Follows all UVANTA policies and procedures
• Responsible for maintaining a neat and clean work environment
• Restock supplies as needed
• Assists in performing inventory maintenance as assigned
•  Must be able to float to all assigned areas of dispensing as trained
•  Must work efficiently, accurately, and be able to perform multiple tasks
•  Assist in training new staff as needed
• Maintain accurate record keeping

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

•  Must be organized
•  Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely with all team members
•  Must be punctual and exhibit time management skills
•  Must be a Team player, have a can-do attitude, be flexible, honest and self-motivated
