Job Summary:

The VP, Global Supply Chain Transformation leads a team of cross functional experts that creates, refines, and executes a master plan that delivers a step change in supply chain capability. This includes at the processes, systems, and employee capability level. The role will bring deep understanding of the business value of supply chain with alignment of business strategies. The role will ensure creation of a customer and product driven end to end supply chain while optimizing costs and working capital for the overall supply chain. The role will deliver transformational programs in the areas of Supply Chain Network Planning, Plant scheduling, Strategic Sourcing, and Logistics and Distribution.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:   

  • Lead and contribute to the identification of strategic and tactical improvements in end-to-end supply chain capabilities that drive value and align with business strategies
  • Deliver Supply Chain transformational programs in the areas of Supply Chain planning, Plant Scheduling, Strategic Sourcing, Logistics and Distribution, and Warehousing
  • Utilize business partners in Finance to develop financial analyses to support strategies
  • Assess and provide direction, guidance and leadership to projects, processes, remediation efforts and other critical business needs
  • Responsible for ensuring identified projects are managed and monitored to plan, timeline and to budget
  • Responsible for change management strategies to drive master plan adoption through cross functional employees, processes, and systems infrastructure while developing employee capabilities to transform and navigate in an ever-changing landscape
  • Partner with business leaders to develop plans to support transitioning to new optimized operating models
  • Ensure alignment with Manufacturing strategies and identify issues and drive solutions in support of business objectives
  • Responsible to support the successful integration and end-to-end functionality of SAP S/4 implementations within the stated Supply Chain Planning, Scheduling, Sourcing and Logistics and Distribution system capabilities and strategies
  • Recommend enhancements and/or next generation SAP or other systems capabilities to drive continued end-to-end supply chain capabilities as part of a continuous improvement strategy
  • Lead enhancements to KPI’s and the Balanced Scorecard 
  • Support the development of major capital projects including distribution center and plant openings, expansion, and closures ensuring capabilities support the overall global supply chain strategy
  • Develop and maintain relevant benchmarking of competitors and relevant peer companies’ strategies and approaches for decision making and inclusion in future plans
  • Through current knowledge of industry trends, utilize and recommend new technologies, concepts, and procedures to enable overall global supply chain strategy
  • Be an effective leader in the Global Supply Chain Leadership team taking collective ownership of the overall results of the Global Supply Chain
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Engineering or other technical field, or Supply Chain Management
  • Requires 15+ years of supply chain management experience for a global Biotech, Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices or Consumer Products Company using world class supply chain systems and processes
  • Experience in developing and implementing world class, global supply chain processes and systems
  • Proven ability to identify innovative projects that optimize processes and add value from ideation to deployment
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change through high trust relationships and building confidence across key
