Our Headquarter office located in Torrance, CA is hiring for a Investment Operations Associate. The Investment Operations Associate position will support the Director of Investments, Investment Operations Manager, Portfolio Managers, and Advisors with day to day operations Our ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of delivering excellent client service, with exceptional organizational, communication and administrative skills You will join a team of dynamic, collaborative, and client-focused professionals who are focused on delivering on our founding core values: Integrity, Entrepreneurial, Inclusion and Connection.
Salary Range: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour plus annual bonus
Duties and Responsibilities
- Data entry related to account setup and security coding (by asset class)
- Perform daily price downloads and system backups
- Monitor custodial alerts and notify appropriate portfolio manager and/or advisor
- Monitor daily tasks directed to the Portfolio Management department and assign as appropriate
- Trade reconciliation, trade error processing and other trading tasks
- Generate investment proposals, portfolio analysis, and 401k recommendations as requested by advisors
- Conduct research on missing cost basis and process cost basis step up to date of death as necessary
- Provide research reports on stocks and funds upon request
- Communicate with custodian firms as needed
- Perform additional duties as necessary to support and enhance investment department objectives
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures and perform business functions with focus on consistency, quality, and compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Previous experience within financial industry a plus; desire to work in financial investment industry
- Able to learn quickly in a fast-paced work environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
- Candidate for CFA charter preferred
- Reliable, organized and goal-oriented
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with others in a collaborative environment
- Ability to work independently and be self-directed
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
