Business Area: GSBO FP&A – Channel Sales Business Partnering
Reporting to: Channel Lead, GSBO FP&A
Location: San Mateo, US
Role Overview:
This role will report into the Director – Commercial Finance Hub and will act as the main business partner to the Americas Channel Sales team. The role will lead on the creation of business cases and analysis of local commercial activities and programs across the Americas Channel Sales business to improve volume, revenue, promotions, trade marketing at a country and retailer level. This role will also have a key focus on ensuring global consistency and process improvement at a local level.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead commercial finance business partnering for the Americas Channel Sales team, supporting the Americas VP of Sales and the Americas Commercial Director and their teams.
- Prepare channel / market specific business cases across a range of commercial activities such as local bundling, changes to distribution partners or terms, and retailer/distributor margin changes.
- Prepare analysis of local promotional mechanics, including impact to volume and P&L, to support FP&A planning and TOA approval processes. Work closely with Global Hub team to provide Americas level metrics for key global promotions, including providing Americas insights into post-promo performance reporting and ROI.
- Liaise with the Americas team to collate and review planned MDF and Channel Investment generation and spend on a quarterly basis, providing in depth commentary on significant drivers and changes to plan.
- Work closely with Global Hub team to analyse new product pricing for local markets across Americas business, collecting feedback from Commercial stakeholders and ensuring that global pricing models are reflective of relevant margin drivers.
- Support LATAM team with regular FX analysis of local market pricing and latest hedge rates agreed with distribution partner.
- Act as main point of contact for Americas commercial team for communication of new product pricing and pricing queries. Liaise with Sales Operations, FP&A and Accounting teams to ensure product pricing is correctly reflected in SAP/IBP.
- Work closely with FP&A and Accounting teams to provide insights into commercial drivers, promo mechanics, price changes, R&O.
- Work closely with Global Hub team and Channel Sales business partners to identify opportunities for global process transformation across pricing, promotions and MDF, with a key focus on driving consistency of reporting and analytics.
What we're looking for:
- At least 6 years relevant experience in a finance function, specifically working with commercial teams or business partners
- Senior level business partner experience in Sales, Strategy, Business Planning
- Strong financial background with ability to evaluate financial impact of business decisions.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (VBA level an advantage).
- Strong experience in building and maintaining financial models.
- Experience of working in a regional / global environment.
- Proven track record of similar roles/tasks in Global / Pan regional company in the Entertainment sector (Game/Film/Music)
