Head of Product Marketing - Great Expectations

Great Expectations' mission is to revolutionize the speed and integrity of data collaboration. Our software platform, Great Expectations, is the leading open source tool for data testing, documentation, and profiling. Data teams all over the world use Great Expectations to instrument and understand their data and machine learning pipelines. We are building on the inspiration of the open source tool to deliver a cloud-based SaaS platform with new capabilities and functionality only possible in a SaaS environment.
At Great Expectations, keeping a closely integrated organization focused on a PLG GTM plan is a core part of our culture. While some team members specialize in writing code and others in using customer insights to solve customer pain points and others in designing compelling UI and UX or developing specs and requirements, and others in creating compelling positioning, demos, and content, everyone is here to ensure we build the right product. Everyone must have deep understanding and empathy for the customer, and a sense of product ownership.
As the Head of Product Marketing, you will have a lead role in shaping the company image at a critical stage! You will build a close collaborative peer relationship with Product Managers, Engineers and Developer Advocates to succeed in that mission. You will clearly articulate the benefits of our new commercial product, Great Expectations Cloud, in a way that resonates with technical and non-technical audiences.
We are looking for someone who will:
Manage a team of marketing professionals, provide mentorship and opportunities for growth and development
Build compelling messaging and positioning for GX (Great Expectations) Cloud and implement across all customer facing channels
Workshop messaging with customers, user community champions, and participants in the open source community.
Work closely with the Developer Relations team to create technically focused materials that speak to our user and buyer personas
Establish launch strategies and metrics for new capabilities and execute across teams to drive execution
Scope and lead creation of impactful sales assets, mapped to buying journey
influence Product Leadership on decisions related to product roadmap,pricing, packaging, and positioning
Conduct customer research to understand the pain points, needs, and workflows of our buyers and users
Enable GTM team to address customers’ requirements and objections: Work with product management to help tell the story of the product capabilities and the value it provides, co-develop internal training and enablement with our technical, ensure client facing teams have the materials necessary to support sales efforts

The salary range for this role is $159,000-196,000 plus equity. Our offers are made by taking into account the skill level, experience and location of the specific candidate. In addition to our compensation package, we offer a competitive suite of benefits.
