Home Health Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) 

Location: Cynthiana, KY (Primarily serves Harrison, Scott, Nicholas & Bourbon counties) 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

About this role:

The Home Health Certified Nursing Assistant is a para-professional member of the home health care team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient's personal needs, to promote the patient's comfort, and a safe environment.  The Home Health Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for observing patients and reporting/documenting these observations and the services provided. 

Requirements

• Is at least eighteen years of age and has a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). 
• Is currently a State Registered Nurse Aide through the Kentucky Board of Nursing. 
• One year experience in home health or nursing home setting, preferred. 
• Proof of completion of recognized CNA training program.  
• Possesses and maintains current CPR certification and First Aid Training.  
• Team members will be expected to comply with Bluegrass Care Navigators (BCN) Employee Health, infectious disease, and vaccination policies. 
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile in good working order, that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements, with personal auto liability insurance of $100,000/$300,000 in bodily injury coverage. 
• Has ability to read and follow written instructions and document given care.  
• Satisfactory references from previous employers.  
• Is self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.  
• Has empathy for the needs of the ill, frail, and impaired.  Understands the needs of a Home Care patient who is injured or managing a chronic condition. 
• Demonstrates tact, patience, and good personal hygiene.
