Information Assurance Engineer (IAE) Level 3

Job Description:

Allen Integrated Solutions seeks to hire Information Assurance Engineers to conduct information systems security engineering activities throughout the acquisition lifecycle. IAEs are responsible for capturing and refining information protection requirements to ensure their integration into information systems acquisitions and information system development through purposeful security design or configuration.  The contractor integrates security functional requirements into existing acquisition lifecycle phases, milestones, and documents using systems engineering principles and methodologies. Personnel shall be knowledgeable of best practices when implementing security controls including software engineering methodologies, security engineering methodologies, security engineering principles, and secure coding techniques and coordinate activities with assessment and authorization (A&A) stakeholders.

Contractor personnel should possess certification at the appropriate level for the position.

Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of and experience with ICD 503 and the Government’s Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process.
• Proficient with networks, computer components, system protocols, and COTS technology.
• Knowledge of system methodologies including client/server, web hosting, web content servers, policy servers, directory servers, firewalls, WAN, MAN, LAN, switches, and routers.
• Expertise in software integration of COTS and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) products.
• Technical experience in configuring and supporting, at a minimum, Windows, Linux, Unix, and Mac OS.
• Experience configuring and supporting VMware, Xen, Hyper V, and other virtualization platforms.
• Technical experience in software engineering, project management, program design and implementation, configuration management, system maintenance, software and information system engineering, and integration testing.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Top Secret/SCI Security clearance with Polygraph
• Bachelor's Degree or higher AND 8 years experience; OR High School/GED/Associates Degree with 15 years relevant experience; OR Master's or higher with 6 years relevant experience
• Education:  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field of study.
• Experience in the following areas is considered relevant:  Information technology security, information systems security, information assurance engineering, performing Certification & Accreditation testing

Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge of and experience with ICD 503 and the Government’s certification and accreditation process;
• Networks, computer components, system protocols, and COTS technology;
• System methodologies including: client/server, web hosting, web content servers, policy servers, directory servers, firewalls, WAN, MAN, LAN, switches, and routers;
• Software integration of COTS and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) products;
• VMware, Xen, Hyper V and other virtualization platforms;
• Education relevant to computer engineering, information security, information management, and/or computer science;
• Experience in technical project management;
• Technical experience in:
  • Configuring and supporting, at a minimum, Windows, Linux, Unix, Mac OS;
  • Configuring and supporting, at a minimum, VMware, Xen, Hyper V;
  • Software engineering;
  • Program design and implementation;
  • Configuration management;
  • System maintenance;
  • Integration testing; and
  • Information system engineering
