To further accelerate our growth and enhance user engagement, we're looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team. Your primary responsibility will be to architect and develop a robust Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) using Kotlin. This backend will drive automation and composition of personalized, dynamic landing pages, seamlessly integrated with our React-based frontend.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

• Design, develop, and maintain a scalable Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) service using Kotlin, ensuring fast and reliable composition of automated landing pages.

• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers (React), product managers, and UI/UX designers to deliver seamless, end-to-end solutions.

• Lead the implementation of marketing automation features, leveraging data-driven insights for personalization, targeted user experiences, and effective A/B testing.

• Continuously improve our systems by refactoring and decoupling existing components to enhance scalability, maintainability, and performance.

• Operate confidently in a cloud-first environment (AWS) with strong adherence to API-driven development practices.

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

• 5+ years of professional experience in full stack development, specifically developing scalable backend solutions with Kotlin.

• Hands-on experience building modern frontend applications with React, Webpack, ES6, and CSS preprocessors (e.g., LESS or similar).

• Proven expertise in designing and implementing Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) solutions or similar architectural patterns.

• At Zalando Lounge, you own your solutions end-to-end: build it, deploy it, optimize it, and continuously enhance it.

• Strong experience or willingness to engage deeply with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.

• A proactive, business-oriented mindset, with a strong commitment to improving user experiences through effective software solutions.

• Excellent teamwork skills, ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and passion for sharing best practices within the team.
