As an Equipment Specialist within PNC's Equipment Finance organization, you will be based within PNC's footprint.

Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis.  Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager’s discretion.

Job Description

  • Supports originations and growth initiatives by understanding, researching and analyzing various equipment-related issues to establish current and future values. Prepares equipment reviews for transactions, assists manager in suggesting equipment niches for growth, and performs various duties as assigned, associated with the acquisition, transfer or disposition of off-lease equipment as needed. Capable of approving lower levels of residuals.
  • Responsible for completing the annual credit review process for individual transactions currently in the portfolio in excess of a million dollars on a per schedule basis. Ensures adequate compliance of SOX controls. Contributes to the completion of the Annual Impairment Review by conducting research, establishing values by utilizing external independent sources / appraisers and creating reviews for specific industries to support current at risk positions to identify any permanent impairments. May approve residual risk in accordance with existing policies and procedures.
  • Provides or acts as an advisor in identifying industries in which additional business opportunities can be developed, as well as share market intelligence. Partners with Sales to determine appropriate deal structures. Conducts valuation reviews of assigned transactions to ensure compliance with risk policy.
  • Plays a supporting role in the development and implementation of equipment policies and procedures to manage risk. Additional contribution to portfolio risk management includes participation in the coordination of inspections of leased assets in partnership with the Schedule Maturity Group.
  • May initiate and participate in the disposition of equipment with lessees on assigned asset classifications. May also assist in the same process under the direction of the Equipment Manager on larger, more complex accounts.
