Global Account Management Capabilities Manager

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role the Manager of Global Account Management Capabilities supports the development and delivery of global training programs aimed at improving the Account Management skills of Amgen’s field teams. This role assists in creating effective training solutions, supporting cross-functional collaboration, and tracking the performance of training initiatives. The Manager will also play an active role in ensuring that the training content and Account Management platforms remain aligned with the needs of field teams and organizational goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with various teams (e.g., marketing, medical, access) to ensure training aligns with overall business goals.
  • Support Account Management process improvements and training delivery initiatives across global teams.
  • Assist in identifying and addressing the Account Management training needs of the global field teams by collaborating with senior leadership.
  • Help develop and implement Account Management training programs that align with Amgen’s account engagement strategies.
  • Work closely with the Senior Manager and Associate Director to ensure smooth delivery of training programs.
  • Promote diversity, inclusion, and high performance within the training team and across Amgen’s global teams.

Curriculum Development & Platform Maintenance

  • Support the creation of training materials, including e-learning modules and workshops, and ensure that they are continuously updated.
  • Assist with onboarding programs and development initiatives for emerging talent.
  • Support the development of Account Management tools, platforms, and processes which advance Amgen’s Account Management Capabilities Globally
  • Support training delivery of in person and virtual training programs.
  • Assist in monitoring the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance data.

Innovation

  • Stay informed on emerging trends in account management and training and suggest improvements where appropriate.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

Or

Master’s degree and 2 years of Account Management, Training, Field Excellence, or related consulting

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Account Management, Training, Field Excellence, or related consulting

Or

Associate’s degree and 8 years of Account Management, Training, Field Excellence, or related consulting

Or

High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Account Management, Training, Field Excellence, or related consulting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years in Biotech or Pharmaceuticals
  • Self-Starter and must possess leadership capabilities with limited direct supervision
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
  • Strong project management, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working within cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with training tools, platforms, and best practices
  • Ability to track and manage budgets efficiently
  • Experience with managing relationships with key stakeholders
  • Experience managing competing demands and priorities
  • Ability to prioritize, direct, and manage multiple and interdependent capabilities and projects
