We are looking for a highly creative and technical Sr. 3D Generalist to join our UX team and help create world-class experiences. You should be an industrious person who is highly organized and you love to marry interactive design with cutting edge tech. The role is about creating and supporting 3D animation and interaction for the future of Auto HMI. The Sr. 3D generalist will create and modify 3D assets for the UX team, in addition to supporting 3D development and implementation in the product.

The Role:

• You will be working with the UX team helping build interactive 3D apps, animations, and assets for in-car HMI
• You have a strong, technical background in 3D tools
• You have experience preparing 3D assets for interactive 3D environments such as Unity/Unreal Engine
• You should be a Cinema 4D/Redshift expert. You should also leverage additional tool knowledge such as Blender, Maya, UV tools, procedural tools, etc when you see necessary
• You will partner with our world-class design team who specialize in product, research, and advanced concepts. You will make their apps come to life with awesome 3D imagery, assets, and tech
• You will coordinate with the brand visualization team to make sure all HMI product visualization that is created is on-brand and has aligned quality
• When it’s time to move into development, you have experience creating documentation and can create hand-off procedures. You have experience collaborating with developers to ship products.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience with either high-performance video game, AR/VR applications, or automotive HMI, preferably in the Unreal game engine environment
• 2+ years of experience shipping user-facing features on games or other 3D interactive products
• Great shading/lighting skills
• Good sense of animation and motion
• Experience working with multiple LODs and can model and create custom meshes as needed
• Generalist 3D skills (Maya, deltagen, C4D, Blender, etc…)

Preferred:

• Blueprint or other node-style logic system skills
• Experience working in the automotive field or with auto-focused clients 

Education

•  Bachelor's or Masters degree in Art, Design, Computer Graphics, or Visualization

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.·       California (Bay Area) - $115,000-$165,000Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
