About the role

Summary

A current priority in the CAGT strategic plan is to enhance our immunotherapy and synthetic biology capabilities. A well-qualified candidate will have a strong background in protein chemistry and synthetic biology with an interest in translation. They will also have a track record of productive collaborations and participation in team science.

 

We invite applications for faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy at Baylor College of Medicine with the following goals:

 

  • Establish a nationally competitive research program that should be fully independently funded within 3 to 4 years.
  • Publish manuscripts and garner independent funding.
  • Train graduate students and postgraduate fellows.
  • Establish collaborations with other CAGT and DLDCCC members.
  • Teaching of graduate and medical students.
  • Attend CAGT and DLDCCC retreats and seminars.

 

M.D. or Ph.D. in Science background
