The security Officer is a part of a team responsible for the security and safety measures throughout the hotel. They will maintain strategic oversight of every aspect of the hotels physical security and safety for guests, members, employees, assets and reputation including staffing, budgets, protocols and procedures as well as crisis management. Security officers will need to be extremely sensitive towards all occupants and workers, anticipating their needs so we can meet our standards. Security officers will also be sensitive to everybody’s needs and at times will act as a facilitator, mediator, and informant to maintain a respectful and friendly relationship between and with all occupants of our hotel.

Job Responsibilities

Supervise a shift of the security department to include providing direction and ensuring response and documentation to security and safety related incidents, ensuring proper preventative measures by making certain security officers  are present and patrolling property including all guest floors as well as service areas in a professional and courteous manner.

Essential functions:

  • Patrol the interior and exterior of the hotel to ensure that all staff and guests are in compliance with preventative safety and security measures.

  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide on-going coaching to staff and discipline staff when needed.

  • Investigate crimes and accidents occurring in the hotel and create incident reports of guest and employee accidents and incidents.

  • Assist in handling of unusual guest or employee problems, such as, but not limited to noise complaints, disorderly conduct, theft, power failures etc. Prepare documentation and incident reports as needed.

  • Respond and assist with all emergency situations in the hotel as necessary.

  • Comply with four seasons’ category one and category two work rules and standards of conduct as set forth in Empact.<
