Construction Punch Out

Description

HILLS Properties is seeking a Punch Out to join the Construction team at our newest luxury apartment community in the Greater Cincinnati area! This is a full-time, hourly position.

The Punch Out position works closely with the Construction Superintendent to ensure each unit is inspected and delivered on time meeting the standards set forth for the project. This is an excellent opportunity for which an experienced construction professional is looking for growth!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist superintendent to ensure that subcontractors are completing their work with good quality and cleaning up when finished
• Assist superintendent with frame, punch-out, and other inspection work
• Create final punch-out lists for subcontractors
• Prepare units to deliver for occupancy to Property Management leasing personnel

Requirements

• General construction knowledge
• Construction trade skills including but not limited to basic framing, drywall, trim paint, electric, and plumbing
• Ability to read and understand instructions, correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
• Ability to add, subtract, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task

Education, Experience, Licensing & Certification Prerequisites:

• High school diploma preferred
• Minimum or 2 years construction experience
• Valid driver’s license and insurable with HILLS insurance carrier

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl, and talk or hear
• Regularly walk, climb or balance
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
• Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.

Work Time Requirement of Position:

• 40 hours per week with occasional overtime as needed, typically Monday through Friday

Work Environment:

• Exposed to outside weather conditions
• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electric shock
• Associate must be able to speak and hear
• Associate must regularly walk, climb or balance
