Examples of duties
(Original Entrance)- A valid driver's license.*
- Eighteen (18) months of maintenance and/or construction experience.
- High School Diploma or GED. OR an additional four (4) years of experience in maintenance and/or construction.
- A valid driver's license.*
- Permanent status with the Sewerage & Water Board and one (1) year of experience as a Networks Maintenance Technician I.
- A letter from the appointing authority documenting certification in all required skills in the S&WB structured OJT program for Networks Maintenance Technician II.
- High School Diploma or GED.*
Reading Comprehension (COMM 100)
Business Math (COMP 410) OR
Basic Math for Utilities Workers (COMP 400)
* Prior to appointment, the hiring agency is required to verify current valid driver's license and education claimed by the applicant to qualify for this classification. NOTE:
Domicile requirements are currently waived for the purpose of application**. Employees hired under this waiver remain exempt from the city's residency requirement for the duration of their employment at the Sewerage and Water Board. Qualifications
A rating of training and experience, weighted 100%. All related previous experience will be considered for qualification purposes; however, credit on the rating of training and experience will only be given for experience gained within the last ten (10) years.This is an original entrance and departmental promotional examination.

Airport employees are excluded from this provision if the actual domicile of the employee is nearer to the employee’s job site than the distance from the job site to the nearest point of Orleans Parish.
