Director, Marketplace Strategy (Managed care experience required)

About the role

Job Summary
Reporting into the Marketplace Strategy department, this role supports the Marketplace team in analyzing, defining, and enabling the implementation of Marketplace strategies across the states where Molina operates.  

Job Duties

  • Manage the interpretation, structure, and storytelling for state competitive intel. Generate local market insights to drive innovation.
  • Develop Marketplace priorities in collaboration with Marketplace team and Health Plan leadership; design and assist in the implementation of priorities across Molina’s states. When required, develop structure and strategic next steps for regulatory advocacy.  
  • Research and build business cases for high-priority, cross-state strategic projects as they are formulated and implemented. 
  • Act as the strategic liaison in the annual product lifecycle process, responsible for inputs including emerging performance and changes in the competitive landscape.    
  • Provide materials for, and lead discussions with, Health Plan and enterprise leaders to build consensus on strategies.  

Job Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Master of Business Administration (MBA) or other advanced degree.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • At least 3+ years of experience in strategic management consulting or corporate strategy with prior managed healthcare experience
  • Understanding of the drivers of value in managed health care as well as broad knowledge of the healthcare industry
  • Strong quantitative aptitude, problem solving skills and commercial acumen
  • Strategy experience and ability to frame strategic challenges with research and synthesis and draw out solutions and create action plans
  • Intellectual agility and ability to simplify and clearly communicate complex concepts
  • Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to effectively collaborator with business unit leaders, subject matter experts, and external resources
  • Energetic and collaborative
