As part of a small, hardworking and accomplished team of authorities, you will develop and implement commercial quality processes for the design, test and manufacture of launch vehicles, spacecraft, and related technologies. You will be responsible to drive quality products throughout the organization by maintaining a culture that emphasizes accountability and attention to detail at all levels. You must have a passion for solving sophisticated problems and providing operable solutions; act with minimal direction and on your own initiative; and be adaptable as you will work on a variety of applications and systems. We are looking for an individual that can educate and communicate AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements across design, manufacturing, and launch processes in support of sub-orbital and orbital launch operations.

Responsibilities:
- Perform internal audits to assess compliance with industry standards and provide ongoing objective evaluations of processes and documentation in accordance with AS9100 and internal command media
- Perform special process (NDT, Heat Treat, etc.) audits as required
- Recommends and coordinates appropriate corrective action to quality deficiencies within Blue Origin or externally
- Support maturation of an 00environment and culture around QMS, including awareness, continuous improvement, and procedure compliance
- Communicate expertly and optimally with all levels of management, peers and key stakeholders, including timely customer concern of quality issues.
- Support as a focal external 3rd Party Audits
- Mentor Blue Origin employees on the QMS
- Assure Blue Origin documentation system and the QMS are aligned
- Identify and implement QMS process and system improvements
- Significant domestic travel is expected in this position (Up to 50%)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years shown experience in QMS / Internal Auditing
- 4+ years of AS9100 or ISO9001 auditing experience within a manufacturing environment
- Able to identify problems, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Outstanding listening, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribution of inclusion.
- Experience with special process oversight is a must
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired:
- Certified as AS9100D / ISO9001 / APQP Lead Auditor
- Experience with external audit, supporting USG Compliance
- Aerospace, space launch, or military or commercial aviation preferred
- American Society of Quality, Certified Quality Engineer certification
- Quality experience in either development or production environment
- Six Sigma Green, Black Belt, or comparable certification
Compensation Range for:
CO applicants is $81,745.00-$114,442.65Ot
