Research Intern 2024 - AI Team

OPPO US Research Center is seeking self-motivated Research Interns (2024 Summer) to support the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Team in projects focused on Image/Video Enhancement and Generation, Video Understanding, AIGC, LLM, Diffusion Model, Semantic Segmentation, etc. The candidate will strengthen their existing computer vision and deep learning skills by working hands on solving a real-world problem and also getting insights into how an industry R&D center operates.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Research and explore state-of-the-art AI technology.

· Build state-of-the-art solutions by designing algorithms and carrying out experiments.

· Publish at top-tier conferences/journals.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

· PhD candidate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields such Physics and Mathematics

· Strong background in computer vision and deep learning

· Familiarity with common deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.

· Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, Java, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

Possess knowledge and practical experience in at least one the following areas:

· computer vision techniques including image/video enhancement and generation, video understanding, semantic segmentation, depth estimation, etc

· AIGC topics, LLM, LVM, diffusion models, GANs, multi-modal model, other notably generative models

Good publication record at top-tier ML conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, etc.) and journals

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $30-$60/hour. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
