Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an Andrology/Endocrinology Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York in New York, New York (Eastside).

• Schedule: Saturday through Wednesday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with holidays (only if needed) and the ability to float to the Westside and/or Brooklyn locations as needed
• Compensation: $19.20 per hour (commensurate with experience)

In this role, the Andrology/Endocrinology Laboratory Assistant will:

• Perform Andrology / Endocrinology data entry
• Perform laboratory quality control procedures
• Assist with preparation of daily schedule, and preparation of Andrology / Endocrinology records for upcoming IVF patients
• Witness patient identification labels as part of a two-person check with testing staff during procedures
• Clean laboratory supplies and equipment
• Assist with daily, weekly and monthly laboratory QC and cleaning tasks
• Order, receive, and log in supplies
• Restock laboratory with supplies according to lot numbers and expiration dates
• Facilitate the transfer in and transfer out of cryopreserved sperm samples
• Work cooperatively with other members of the Andrology / Endocrinology team to assist with completion of procedures and tasks as needed
• Attend practice and laboratory meetings as requested

Qualifications and Skills Include:

• Bachelors in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science required, or an earned Associates degree in lab science or medical technology
• Experience in a busy, complex working environment
• Must demonstrate an aptitude for performance of laboratory services
• Proven skills to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
• Ability to work in a high standard, stressful environment
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
• Excellent interpersonal skills
